Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) delivered a sharp critique of the Congress party during a meeting with party workers and leaders from the Zaheerabad constituency at his farmhouse in Erravalli. In his address, KCR expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress-led government, stating that the public remains unhappy under its rule after one year in office.

KCR strongly countered the allegations directed at his party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and issued a firm warning to the current government led by Revanth Reddy, stating, “I am not someone to be easily subdued.” He further expressed concern over the state’s poor governance, pointing out that no government schemes have been properly implemented, which he claimed led to widespread dissatisfaction.

Referring to the Congress party’s actions, KCR said Telangana’s power would soon be demonstrated to them, hinting at severe consequences for their mismanagement. He added that granting power to Congress in Telangana was akin to “swallowing a big snake in a game of Kailasam.”

KCR announced plans to organize a large public rally by the end of February to expose the Congress government’s failures. He also accused Congress of exploiting the Muslim community for votes and questioned the rationale behind halting key infrastructure projects like Sangameshwar and Basaveshwar, which were critical for the state’s development. KCR called on BRS leaders to intensify efforts to restart these stalled projects.

Additionally, KCR criticized the Congress for not supporting welfare programs like Rythu Bandhu, which were initiated by the BRS for the benefit of farmers, while Congress failed to implement similar schemes. He also voiced concerns about the lack of adequate nutrition in Gurukul hostels, where reports of food poisoning incidents among children have emerged.

In his remarks, KCR emphasized that the BRS was not founded for political gain but to serve the people of Telangana. He noted that Congress had misled the electorate by exploiting their desires for wealth and promises of prosperity. Reflecting on his own campaign during the Assembly elections, KCR reiterated his commitment to farmers and Dalits. He concluded by remarking that Congress leaders had been facing hostile reactions from the public, especially in rural areas, due to their misgovernance. Despite his previous silence, KCR declared that he was now watching the actions of the Congress government closely.
