Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) strongly criticized the Congress government for altering the representation of the Telangana Talli statue, calling it a “barbaric act.” Addressing party leaders at his Erravalli farmhouse ahead of the Assembly sessions starting Monday, KCR questioned the government’s priorities and accused the Congress of neglecting critical governance issues.

During the meeting with BRS MLAs and MLCs, KCR outlined strategies for the upcoming sessions. He urged members to raise state-specific issues, including the government’s stance on the Musi River project, challenges in the education sector, and failures in implementing promises made in the Congress manifesto. He also directed members to highlight the purpose and benefits of the Rythu Bandhu scheme in the Assembly while emphasizing the inspiration drawn from Telangana Talli during the statehood movement.

KCR proposed a large public meeting in February to further expose the Congress’s alleged failures. Additionally, he announced plans to establish committees and initiate a membership drive post-February.

While the meeting provided strategic direction, it remains uncertain whether KCR will personally attend the upcoming Assembly sessions.
