Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has accused the Congress government in Telangana of filing false cases against BRS party workers, claiming that the Congress is using its power to target the opposition. Speaking at a press conference in Jangaon, Kavitha stated that BRS was prepared to return to power and expose the alleged corruption within the Congress ranks.

Kavitha further alleged that Congress was acting with vindictiveness, particularly citing the cancellation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Warangal, which she claimed was due to the farmer’s declaration. She also condemned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allegedly suppressing criticism, noting that police had visited individuals’ homes after minor social media posts, leading to harassment.

Kavitha also called out Station Ganapur MLA Kadium Srihari for opportunistically switching parties, claiming his move was driven by personal gain. She expressed confidence in the judicial system, stating that BRS had filed a petition with the Supreme Court regarding party defections and was hopeful of receiving a favorable verdict.

On the topic of women’s welfare, Kavitha slammed the Congress government for not distributing the promised Rs. 2,500 and scooters to women. She also accused the government of neglecting the Kalyana Lakshmi and KCR Kits programs, demanding that full gold be provided along with the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
