Jana Sena Party (JSP) is preparing to enter Telangana’s political arena, with a focus on the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. Party chief Pawan Kalyan has reportedly intensified his focus on the state, as reflected in his recent speech during the party’s formation day event, where Telangana remained a key subject of discussion.
Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is making efforts to regain its presence in Telangana, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is positioning itself as an alternative to the ruling Congress and opposition BRS. Pawan Kalyan, who has been vocal about Sanatana Dharma, is reportedly working towards consolidating a support base in Telangana.

There is growing speculation that the BJP-Jana Sena-TDP alliance, which secured victory in Andhra Pradesh, is looking to implement a similar strategy in Telangana. Pawan Kalyan’s statement that “Jana Sena was born in Telangana, while Andhra Pradesh is its karmabhoomi” is seen as an indication of his intent to remain politically active in both states.
The BJP has witnessed significant growth in Telangana, securing 8 Assembly and 8 Parliamentary seats in recent elections. With the party emerging as a strong contender against the BRS and Congress, discussions are underway on forming an alliance with Jana Sena to expand their political reach.
The upcoming GHMC elections are expected to be the first test for this alliance, with party leaders considering a joint contest to strengthen their position. With the recent electoral success in Andhra Pradesh, the alliance is now strategizing to establish its influence in Telangana’s political landscape.
