Hyderabad: BJP Legislature Party leader Maheshwar Reddy has raised questions over BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao’s (KTR) visit to Chennai, alleging a possible secret understanding between BRS and the Congress government in Telangana. He claimed that KTR’s visit came only after BRS leader Harish Rao met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Addressing the media, Maheshwar Reddy stated that the Chennai meeting exposed a hidden agreement between the two parties. He pointed out that BRS is not a part of the INDIA alliance and questioned the rationale behind KTR’s participation in the all-party meeting. “Is BRS planning to join the INDIA bloc? If not, why did KTR attend the meeting?” he asked, demanding clarification from BRS leaders.

He also criticized the Congress government for not acting against alleged corruption by the previous BRS administration. “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had promised to expose BRS corruption within 100 days of assuming office. However, even after 15 months, no action has been taken,” he remarked.
Maheshwar Reddy asserted that the recent developments surrounding the Chennai meeting have only strengthened suspicions of a covert agreement between BRS and Congress.
