The distribution of Indiramma houses is set to begin in March, with the government finalizing the list of beneficiaries. Officials have identified one village per mandal for the distribution process and are making preparations for the groundwork, with pre-grounding meetings scheduled for each village.
Applications for Indiramma houses have been divided into three categories. The L-1 list includes individuals who own land but do not have a house, as well as those who own land but reside in temporary shelters such as huts or thatched homes. The L-2 list is for applicants who do not own land or a house, while the L-3 list contains individuals who own a house but have applied for an Indiramma house.

The beneficiary selection process is based on family and app-based surveys, with 21.93 lakh applications included in the L-1 category, 19.96 lakh in L-2, and 33.87 lakh in L-3. Additionally, 2.43 lakh applications from GHMC areas are still under review. In the first phase, 71,482 beneficiaries from 562 villages have been selected, with the largest group—59,807—coming from L-1. Other selections include 1,945 from L-2, 5,732 from L-3, and 3,998 from new applications.
The government has prioritized applicants with land in the first phase, which has resulted in the highest number of beneficiaries from the L-1 category. Further phases will prioritize the remaining L-1, L-2, and L-3 applicants, with officials indicating that the majority of eligible beneficiaries are from the L-3 category.
