New Delhi: Tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply escalated following the terror attack in Pahalgam. The situation has now reached a peak. After taking diplomatic and water-sharing actions against Pakistan for days, India launched direct strikes starting midnight.
Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Army began attacks at 1:44 AM, targeting terrorist bases inside Pakistan. These strikes reportedly destroyed terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Nine terror camps suspected to be behind the cross-border infiltration were hit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to be personally monitoring the operation closely. The Indian Army emphasized that the strikes were carried out with precision and clarity regarding the targets. It also clarified that no Pakistani military personnel or army infrastructure were attacked.
The joint operation involved both the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, using missiles to carry out the strikes. After days of warnings, the Indian government has finally taken action.

Meanwhile, India has planned mock drills across the country today. The Defence Ministry stated that full details of the operation will be shared soon. The Indian Army also posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Justice has been delivered,” along with videos related to the strikes—though they did not disclose the exact locations.
It is suspected that the Indian Army may have targeted key terror hubs, including the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Muridke and the Jaish-e-Mohammed base in Bahawalpur, Punjab province, led by Masood Azhar.
