Hyderabad: Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy has expressed dissatisfaction over the induction of Jagtial BRS MLA Sanjay into the party. On Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy announced his intention to resign from his MLC post. Despite direct talks with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Sridhar Babu, and others, Jeevan Reddy remained unmoved. Consequently, the party’s high command intervened, appointing the party’s state affairs in-charge Deepa Das Munshi to negotiate with him.
However, today’s discussions between Deepa Das Munshi and Jeevan Reddy seem to have ended in a stalemate. Reports indicate that Jeevan Reddy demanded assurance of a Rajya Sabha seat during the talks, a request that Munshi reportedly took seriously but declined to guarantee at this time. This refusal left Jeevan Reddy visibly upset and reluctant to speak to the media after the meeting.
The developments have sparked significant interest in Telangana’s political circles regarding Jeevan Reddy’s next move. Amidst the uncertainty, there are strong speculations that Jeevan Reddy may join the BJP.
