In a tragic turn of events, Venkatesh (34), a CISF jawan from Andhra Pradesh, lost his life while on duty at BDL Banur in Sangareddy district. According to officials, the incident occurred as the battalion was disembarking from a bus. During the process, Venkatesh’s weapon accidentally discharged, with the gun exploding and a bullet striking his head. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Venkatesh hailed from Junutala village in the Avuku mandal of Nandyal district and was stationed with the CISF battalion in Hyderabad. He had been serving in the force for the past 13 years and is survived by a son and a daughter. His untimely death has left his family devastated.
