The India-Pakistan border has witnessed renewed attacks, with Pakistan opening fire as night fell. The areas of Jammu, Samba, Pathankot, Firozpur, Uri, Kupwara, and Poonch have been targeted by drones. The active Indian Air Defense Systems successfully intercepted and neutralized these attacks. Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat have declared a high alert as the situation escalates. Sirens have been heard in several regions, and a blackout has been imposed. Residents have been advised to stay indoors for safety.
Pakistan attempted a second round of attacks in seven regions, intensifying the cross-border hostilities. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also tweeted about hearing the sound of gunfire in the region.
Intermittent sounds of blasts, probably heavy artillery, can now be heard from where I am.
