Former Pilot Rohith Reddy, a BRS leader and former MLA from Tandur, has once again come into the spotlight after a controversial incident at his farmhouse in Moinabad near Hyderabad. The farmhouse, which had earlier drawn national attention during the alleged MLA poaching case, has now become the centre of a fresh controversy following a suspected drugs party and a firing incident. Acting on specific information, teams from the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (EAGLE) conducted a late-night raid at the property on Saturday. During the operation, one of the persons present allegedly fired a round into the air and then three rounds towards the enforcement team in an attempt to obstruct the raid.

As tensions escalated, officials alerted the Special Operations Team (SOT), which joined the operation and conducted extensive searches at the farmhouse. Police said they recovered about two grams of cocaine, other narcotic substances and a revolver during the raid. The firearm reportedly belongs to Rohith Reddy’s brother, Rithesh Reddy, who holds a licensed weapon. However, investigators believe the shots were fired by a Delhi-based real estate businessman, Nameed Mishra. Police have detained nine men and one woman who were allegedly present at the gathering.

According to reports, several political figures from different states were present at the party, including Rohith Reddy and Putt Mahesh Yadav, an MP from Eluru in Andhra Pradesh, along with Moraganeni Ramesh, V. Shravan Kumar, Nallapaneni Vijay Krishna, Rithesh Reddy and Nivit Sharma. Drug tests reportedly returned negative results for Mahesh Yadav, while Rohith Reddy and a few others are said to have tested positive, though officials are yet to confirm the final reports.

Police have taken the firing incident seriously and launched a detailed investigation. The farmhouse has been taken under police control, and authorities are examining CCTV DVR footage to determine who organised the gathering, how many people attended and whether the meeting had any purpose beyond the alleged drugs party. Heavy police deployment has been made in Moinabad as the investigation continues, while the incident has also sparked political controversy in Telangana.
