CM Revanth Reddy Reiterates Indira Gandhi’s Bond with Medak

Zaheerabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, addressing a public meeting in Zaheerabad on Friday, emphasized the historical and emotional association between the Medak region and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He noted that Gandhi served as a Member of Parliament from Medak during her final years, underscoring that Medak and Indiramma are synonymous in Telangana’s political consciousness.

The Chief Minister criticized the previous administration for neglecting the development of the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ), stating that the current government has expedited land acquisition and enhanced compensation for displaced families. He further announced that the Hyundai car manufacturing unit would soon commence operations in the region. In a major welfare initiative, Revanth Reddy declared that 5,612 displaced families would receive housing under the Indiramma scheme. Minister Jaggareddy has been tasked with overseeing the distribution of land documents and organizing community meals for the beneficiaries.

Revanth Reddy also assured the allocation of necessary funds for the comprehensive development of the Zaheerabad constituency. Highlighting the government’s welfare agenda, he pointed to the enhancement of Rythu Bharosa support to Rs 12,000 and the inclusion of landless poor under the scheme. The Chief Minister concluded by urging the Leader of the Opposition to participate in the Legislative Assembly and engage in discussions on public issues, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive and transparent governance.
