Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken a serious stance on the ongoing dispute between the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has initiated an investigation into allegations that SRH management has been harassed by HCA officials over requests for free passes.

In response to the controversy, CM Revanth Reddy has directed Vigilance Director General Kothakota Srinivas Reddy to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter. He also issued a strong warning to HCA, stating that appropriate actions would be taken if the harassment of SRH continues.

SRH has reportedly faced significant pressure from HCA regarding free pass allocations. The franchise claims that their corporate box for an IPL match was locked by HCA after their request for additional passes was denied.

A letter from SRH representatives to HCA’s Treasurer accused HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao of intimidation and expressed frustration over the situation. SRH has stated that they may consider leaving Hyderabad due to the ongoing issues.

According to SRH, they have been working with HCA for over 12 years but have faced considerable difficulties in the last two years. SRH allocates 3,900 complimentary tickets to HCA as per their agreement, including tickets for a 50-seat corporate box. This year, however, the allocation was reduced to 30 seats, with SRH requesting an additional 20. SRH claims that HCA acted harshly without giving them sufficient time to discuss the matter.
