Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has issued important instructions to officials concerning Aarogyasri services. During a meeting with collectors on Tuesday, he advised against linking the ration card with the Aarogyasri card. Instead, he emphasized the need to provide Aarogyasri cards to all citizens in the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of creating a digital health profile for every resident. He addressed the demand for training RMPs (Registered Medical Practitioners) and PMPs (Private Medical Practitioners) and issuing them certificates, suggesting that a study be conducted on this matter and a new government order (GO) be considered.
Revanth Reddy also directed officials to address the challenges faced by RMPs and PMPs, advocating for higher remuneration to encourage doctors working in rural areas. He instructed that each bed in government hospitals should have a serial number and called for improved medical facilities in tribal areas. Additionally, he proposed a separate system for hospital maintenance to ensure comprehensive facilities in government hospitals.
The Chief Minister urged that decisions should be made with a human-centric approach to benefit the public. During the meeting with district collectors, SPs, and police commissioners, he stressed the importance of integrating Telangana’s cultural context into service delivery. “Understand the needs and opinions of the people. If confined to AC rooms, you will not achieve satisfaction. Our first meeting with collectors was held on December 24, where we emphasized receiving public administration applications and identifying beneficiaries. With the election code of conduct lifted, we have implemented transfers of collectors, including those from different states. Effective service delivery requires adopting Telangana as your own state and working accordingly,” he said.
