Hyderabad: A political war of words has intensified between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, following sharp remarks made by the Chief Minister during the AICC meeting in Ahmedabad. Revanth Reddy stated that the BJP would not be allowed to even set foot in Telangana and described the party as “more dangerous than the British.”
Responding on social media platform X, Bandi Sanjay countered the Chief Minister’s remarks, urging him to “stop daydreaming.” He pointed out that the BJP had already made significant electoral gains in Revanth Reddy’s own home district and had won the Malkajgiri seat, which Revanth previously held. Sanjay further said that the Congress party, which he described as a “vanishing species,” was rapidly losing public support.

He alleged that while the BRS faced anti-incumbency after a decade in power, the Congress government had already attracted double the opposition within just 15 months. He further mocked the Congress for failing to secure victory in Mahabubnagar and slipping to third place in the Kamareddy constituency, where BJP emerged stronger.
Bandi Sanjay also took a jibe at the Congress party’s inability to field a candidate in the Hyderabad MLC elections, saying it reflects the party’s declining strength in the state. He termed the idea of blocking the BJP’s growth in Telangana as “the biggest joke of the century,” asserting that the party’s expanding footprint across the state was evident through recent electoral trends.
