Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed all district collectors and IAS officers to intensify field visits and submit daily activity reports directly to him. In a video conference held on Monday with district collectors and senior officials, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of proactive governance, especially during the ongoing monsoon season.
Revanth Reddy reviewed key areas including rainfall updates, Kharif crop cultivation, seasonal diseases, and distribution of ration cards. He assured that there is an adequate supply of fertilizers across the state and warned of strict action against the misuse of subsidized fertilizers. The CM instructed collectors to display stock availability on notice boards outside fertilizer shops and focus on effective water management.
He also announced a contingency fund of ₹1 crore for each collector to tackle emergencies. Highlighting welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister said that over seven lakh new ration cards have been issued and directed officials to complete distribution between July 25 and August 10, involving ministers, public representatives, and officials at all mandal centers. Revanth Reddy affirmed that ration card issuance is a continuous process and urged officials not to panic over the demand.
