Senior actor Chiranjeevi has addressed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent comments regarding the film industry’s response to the proposed Gaddar Awards. In a statement, Chiranjeevi expressed gratitude for the announcement that the Government of Telangana will institute the ‘Gaddar Awards’ annually in honor of the renowned balladeer Gaddar.
Chiranjeevi acknowledged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s initiative to revive film awards and emphasized the need for the Telugu film industry to support this proposal. He urged the Film Chamber and the Producers Council to take responsibility for advancing the awards in a prestigious manner.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had earlier called for film personalities to engage with the proposed Gaddar Awards and contribute to the government’s plans. Speaking at an event organized at Rabindra Bharati on the birth anniversary of Dr. C. Narayana Reddy, the Chief Minister announced that the Gaddar Awards ceremony will be held on December 9 and will be as grand as the Nandi Awards.
