Heavy rains last week wreaked havoc in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, submerging several areas and villages in floodwaters. Thousands of people were left without access to basic necessities like food and shelter, facing significant hardships.
In response to the crisis, several celebrities and film stars came forward to assist flood victims by contributing to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Among those who made contributions was Megastar Chiranjeevi, who personally visited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s residence in Jubilee Hills to hand over a check of Rs 1 crore.
In addition, actor Ram Charan contributed Rs 50 lakh, while Chiranjeevi matched this with a further Rs 50 lakh in donations. Other film personalities, including comedian Ali, actor Vishwak Sen, and actor Sai Dharam Tej, also provided their support. Ali donated Rs 3 lakh, Sai Dharam Tej contributed ₹10 lakh, and Vishwak Sen handed over Rs 1 lakh.
