Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has approved the use of recommendation letters from Telangana public representatives for Tirumala darshan. The move comes following demands from Telangana leaders, who had raised concerns about the lack of priority for their recommendations at the temple.
During a meeting with TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu on Monday, Chandrababu discussed the issue of recommendation letters for Telangana MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. Following the discussions, the Chief Minister granted approval to allow four recommendation letters per week per representative—two for Break Darshan and two for the Rs. 300 darshan, as confirmed by the TTD Chairman.

The decision aims to address the dissatisfaction expressed by some Telangana leaders regarding alleged discrimination in darshan arrangements. Telangana representatives had previously claimed that their devotees and leaders were being overlooked, sparking calls for the restoration of privileges they enjoyed earlier.
Former minister Srinivas Goud, speaking at a press conference on Sunday, emphasized that darshan arrangements at Tirumala were seamless in the past, with no signs of disparity. He accused the TTD of showing bias against Telangana devotees and political leaders in recent times and urged the restoration of earlier facilities.
