The Central government has announced extensive support for Andhra Pradesh (AP), along with Bihar and Jharkhand, during the budget session. The Union Budget includes a decision to provide special facilities to these states, with AP receiving significant attention.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated Rs 15,000 crore for the construction of AP’s capital, Amaravati. Further assistance will be provided as necessary. Sitharaman emphasized the commitment to completing the Polavaram project within the current financial year.

The budget also highlights support for industrial development under the Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act. Special assistance will be extended to nodes along the Visakhapatnam-Chennai and Orvakallu-Hyderabad industrial corridors, facilitating the development of infrastructure. Additionally, funds have been allocated for the Hyderabad-Bengaluru industrial corridor.

Specific allocations have been made for the development of water, electricity, roads, and highways to support the Kopparthi and Orvakallu industrial centers.
