New Delhi: Following U.S. diplomatic intervention, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, but official sources reveal that the breakthrough came strictly on India’s conditions. Reports indicate that the ceasefire initiative originated from Pakistan, with its Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief reportedly reaching out to Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Despite the cessation of hostilities, India has maintained a hardline stance. New Delhi has warned that any further provocation from Pakistan will be treated as an act of war. Indian officials have clarified that the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty implementation remains in force.

In addition, the ban on Pakistani social media content and YouTube channels will continue, as will the cancellation of visas for Pakistani nationals. Trade and commercial restrictions imposed on Islamabad will not be lifted, and Pakistani aircraft will remain barred from Indian airspace.
Reiterating its position, India stated it will not engage in dialogue with Pakistan and emphasized that any future act of terrorism will be viewed as a declaration of war.
