Hyderabad: BJP Legislative Party leader Aleti Maheswara Reddy alleged that the Telangana government is intentionally delaying the Rythu Bharosa scheme by accepting applications as a time-wasting tactic. Addressing the media on Friday, he stated that the government already possesses the farmers’ data from previous surveys but is still dragging the process unnecessarily.
Reddy made sensational allegations, claiming, “There are multi-crore scams happening across the state. I will expose these scams one by one in the next two days, including those involving ministers. Let’s see how Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reacts and what steps he takes.”
He further criticized the Congress-led government, saying, “2024 will be remembered as the year of Congress frauds. The government has failed to deliver on its key promise of implementing Rythu Bharosa for farmers.”
According to Reddy, the government has been ineffective in addressing farmers’ issues. He urged the Congress government to change its stance and act on their promises.
New Telangana BJP President Announcement Expected Soon
In a parallel development, discussions within BJP circles suggest that the appointment of a new Telangana BJP president is in its final stages. Sources indicate that the party might announce the new president by the end of this month.
There appears to be strong competition between MPs Dharmapuri Arvind and Raghunandan Rao for the position. However, political analysts believe that if the party prioritizes a BC leader with experience, Eatala Rajender could emerge as the top contender. The upcoming local body elections are expected to be contested under the leadership of the new president.
