Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay is set to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on August 8 in connection with the high-profile phone tapping case. He reportedly gathered crucial evidence after discussions with top officials from the Intelligence Bureau, SIB, and SIT. Central intelligence agencies have confirmed that Sanjay’s phone was tapped multiple times during the previous government’s tenure. Central Home Ministry officials, along with senior officers from the Telugu states, recently held detailed deliberations with him in Hyderabad.
The BJP, treating this as a serious breach of privacy and national concern, is escalating the issue on a broader political platform. Sanjay, who had earlier skipped a July 24 summons due to the Parliament session, is expected to visit the Hanuman Temple in Khairatabad for special prayers before reaching the SIT office via Dilkush Guest House.
