Jammu & Kashmir: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a striking revelation regarding India’s recent military action, stating that Indian security forces destroyed 118 Pakistani border posts during Operation Sindoor. This disclosure came during Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir—the first since the operation was carried out.
Amit Shah noted that the operation severely disrupted Pakistan’s surveillance and intelligence networks. “The Border Security Force (BSF) inflicted such a decisive blow that it will take the enemy four to five years to recover,” he said.
He explained that following the operation targeting terror hubs, Pakistan retaliated by attacking Indian civilians along the border. However, Indian forces swiftly repelled these attempts. “BSF jawans destroyed nearly 118 Pakistani positions and dismantled their surveillance systems. Their ability to conduct covert operations has been neutralized,” Shah said.

Praising the BSF’s effectiveness, the Home Minister added, “Our troops remained vigilant and executed strategic plans with precision. In any cross-border attack, BSF personnel are the first to respond—and they did so with exemplary courage.”
As part of his two-day tour, Shah also met with families affected by cross-border shelling. He assured them of the Centre’s full support and announced that a comprehensive relief package would soon be unveiled to help restore damaged homes, business establishments, and religious sites.
