Hyderabad: The management of the Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani and Karan Adani, recently met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. This meeting comes in light of the Telangana government’s prestigious initiative to establish the Young India Skill University. The Adani Foundation has pledged a donation of ₹100 crores to support the university, presenting the cheque during the meeting.

The Skill University is currently under construction in Meer Khanpet, Rangareddy district, with the foundation stone laid by CM Revanth on August 1.

Investment Prospects from Adani Group

Since the formation of the Congress government in Telangana, representatives from various industries have been engaging with CM Revanth Reddy. Notably, representatives from Foxconn and Amar Raja have previously met with him. Earlier this year in January, Adani Group representatives, including Karan Adani, visited the Chief Minister at the Secretariat, expressing their intent to invest further in Telangana. CM Revanth welcomed these investment prospects.

The Young India Skill University aims to provide skills to students across various sectors and enhance employment opportunities. In celebration of the Dasara festival, the university has released a notification for the admission process. Interested candidates can apply until October 29. Courses are set to commence on November 4, with the government announcing the establishment of three schools for the initial phase, offering four specialized courses.

The Logistics and E-Commerce School will feature courses such as Warehouse Executive and Key Consignor Executive, while the Healthcare stream will include Finishing Skills in Nursing Excellence and the Pharma Associate Program under Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences.

Due to the ongoing construction of the Skill University, courses will be conducted at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) and the National Academy of Construction campuses in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, until the university’s completion. This year, the university aims to enroll 20,000 students across its various programs.

In this context, interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications to join the Young India Skill University.
