India chased down Pakistan’s target of 172 with six wickets to spare. Openers Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) shared a 105-run partnership for the first wicket, while Tilak Varma (30*) ensured the team crossed the finish line despite a brief middle-order wobble. In addition to breaking the record for most sixes in the fewest balls, Sharma also surpassed his mentor Yuvraj Singh’s record for the fastest T20 half-century against Pakistan, reaching 50 in just 24 deliveries. This win marked India’s second victory over Pakistan in the tournament. India will next face Bangladesh on Wednesday, while Pakistan takes on Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
