Hyderabad: Financial assistance amounting to Rs 25 lakh each from Mythri Movies and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with Rs 10 lakh from actor Allu Arjun, has been provided to Sreetej’s family, confirmed his father Bhaskar. Addressing the media, Bhaskar stated that Allu Arjun’s team began responding promptly, starting from the second day after the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident.
Bhaskar added that he expressed willingness to withdraw the case against Allu Arjun after hearing about the actor’s possible arrest, citing sympathy for the situation. He further shared that Allu Arjun’s managers have been in regular contact to provide updates and support. On Sreetej’s condition, he noted that the child has started opening his eyes, and doctors have indicated that the recovery process might take one to six months. Sreetej has now been shifted from the ICU to a private room.
Meanwhile, significant developments unfolded in the Sandhya Theatre case. The Chikkadpally police interrogated Allu Arjun for nearly two hours, questioning him on various aspects of the incident. In a related move, the police arrested Anthony, Allu Arjun’s chief bouncer, for allegedly misbehaving with officers on the day of the incident. Investigators have identified Anthony as a key figure responsible for the stampede.

Separately, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju visited the hospital to meet Srithesh and his family. He assured Bhaskar of continued support and pledged to act as a bridge between the government and the film industry. Dil Raju also announced plans to meet Allu Arjun and assured Revathi’s husband, Bhaskar, that efforts would be made to secure him a job within the film industry. The investigation into the tragic incident continues as the film industry and authorities work to address the fallout.
