The Supreme Court has delivered a crucial verdict on the Telangana Group-1 examinations, allowing the mains exam to proceed as scheduled. A bench led by Justice Narasimha dismissed petitions filed by aspirants seeking the cancellation of the notification and a postponement of the mains examination.
The petitioners had earlier approached the Telangana High Court, alleging 14 errors in the Group-1 prelims question paper and challenging the legality of the new notification issued by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). However, the High Court dismissed their plea, affirming that the examinations would continue as planned.

Following this, the aspirants moved the Supreme Court. During today’s hearing, the bench clarified that the mains exam would not be postponed, as the petitioners had failed to qualify for it. The court emphasized that judicial intervention in such recruitment processes is unwarranted and could lead to significant delays.
The Supreme Court’s ruling upholds the schedule announced by TSPSC, reinforcing the earlier decision of the High Court.
