TPCC Chief Mahesh Goud made striking comments about BJP’s BLP leader Maheshwar Reddy in Telangana, taking jabs at his influence within the BJP office. Goud remarked that Maheshwar Reddy “doesn’t even have a chair” in the BJP office, questioning how discussions about a “new Chief Minister” are emerging while the state already has one. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Goud said, “There’s clear tension between Kishan Reddy and Maheshwar Reddy within Telangana BJP, and Maheshwar Reddy has no standing in their office.”

He continued by questioning how Maheshwar Reddy would know internal Congress matters, noting that some people are misrepresenting statements by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Goud affirmed that the Congress government is working in line with the trust that people have placed in them.

He announced an all-party meeting on caste census set for October 6 or 7, with a preliminary meeting on October 5 at 4 p.m. at the Boinpally Gandhi Ideology Center. Rahul Gandhi, Congress’s key leader, will also attend this meeting, meeting with party leaders, BC leaders, and intellectuals from various groups to discuss the state government’s census initiative. Rahul will inquire about the details of this process. Unlike PM Modi, who Goud claimed is uninterested in societal realities, Rahul Gandhi remains receptive even to critiques.

Goud also shared that a connecting center has been launched to support the caste census, with MLAs assigned as in-charges for the census process.
