Demolitions of illegal structures are ongoing in Hyderabad, with the HYDRAA conducting operations in Madhapur on Monday. The authorities targeted encroachments in a park area located in Kavuri Hills, where illegal constructions had raised concerns.
The Kavuri Hills Association had previously filed complaints regarding a sports academy established within the park. In response to these complaints, officials demolished the academy’s structures on Monday and erected a board designating the area as Kavuri Hills Park.
In reaction to the demolitions, the sports academy organizers stated that they had been granted a 25-year lease by the Kavuri Hills Association. They alleged that the structures were removed unjustly before the lease period expired. HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath clarified that the demolitions were carried out in accordance with court orders.
