The Rouse Avenue court has issued important orders regarding MLC Kavitha’s health, referring her to AIIMS hospital in Delhi for a medical check-up. Kavitha has been asked to provide a health report following her recent illness in jail.
During a recent hearing on her bail plea, the bench extended her judicial custody until May 22. On the 16th of this month, Kavitha fell ill and was rushed to Deen Dayal Hospital by jail staff. Doctors diagnosed her with a fever and are currently treating her.
Kavitha, who was arrested on March 15, 2024, in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case, has been in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for four months under judicial remand. The ED initially registered a case against her, followed by the CBI. Kavitha is actively seeking bail in these cases
