154 Delegates From 44 Countries Take Part in Telangana Summit

The Telangana Rising Global Summit has officially begun, with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurating the event. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, several cabinet ministers, actor Nagarjuna, and representatives of various organisations attended the opening session. The summit is being held across a 100-acre venue in Future City, Kandukur, in Ranga Reddy district. The conference will run for two days, on December 8 and 9. A total of 154 delegates from 44 countries are participating in the event.

According to government officials, the summit will witness participation from around 3,000 delegates, including 154 international representatives from 44 countries. A 46-member delegation of CEOs from the United States is among the key attendees, and the event is targeting investments exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore. Notable speakers include Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee, Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Eric Swider, World Economic Forum CEO Jeremy Jurgens, Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, Biocon Chief Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and film personalities S.S. Rajamouli and M.M. Keeravani will also participate.

A wide range of cultural and thematic stalls have been installed at the event to showcase Telangana’s heritage and progress. Highlights include the Telangana Police’s Cyber Safe Telangana pavilion, which displays command control operations, dark-web surveillance, and the 1930 cybercrime helpline. An exclusive Indira Mahila Shakti pavilion is promoting women empowerment and rural products, while the Koya Dolls exhibit represents tribal craftsmanship and lifestyle. As souvenirs, international delegates will receive silver filigree masterpieces from Karimnagar, including a specially crafted silver idol of Gautama Buddha.

Cultural events have been planned following the business sessions to offer guests a glimpse of Telangana’s traditions. A musical performance curated by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani will headline the evening, accompanied by folk dance forms such as Kommu Koya, Banjara, Kolatam, Gussadi, Oggu Dolu, and Perini Shivathandavam. Delegates will also be served an assortment of Telangana delicacies including Sakinalu, Chekkalu, Tippa Appalu Laddu, Sesame Laddus, Badam-Ki-Jali snacks, and a millet-enriched menu. Hyderabad Biryani will be served on both days, along with dishes such as Sarpindi and Pachchi Pulusu.

Across two days, a total of 27 sessions will be held simultaneously in four halls focusing on crucial sectors including green mobility, zero-emission vehicles, semiconductors, aerospace, defence, and global education. Day 2 will cover Genome Valley and Life Sciences Innovation, along with expert discussions on making Telangana a $3-trillion economy, urban-rural connectivity, affordable housing, foreign investment, and Ease of Doing Business 2.0. Security has been intensified with the deployment of 2,500 police personnel and over 1,000 CCTV cameras, supported by SHE Teams for the safety of women delegates. The summit will conclude on December 9 with a grand drone show, featuring thousands of drones portraying Telangana’s development journey and Vision 2047.
