The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has officially released the examination schedule for the 2026 academic year. According to the board, the intermediate examinations will commence on February 25, 2026, for First Year students and February 26, 2026, for Second Year students, concluding on March 18, 2026. The schedule was announced by Intermediate Board Secretary Krishna Aditya during a media briefing, where he also outlined key updates to the syllabus and practical examinations.
This year, significant changes have been introduced to the practical exams. While traditionally practical lab exams are conducted only for Second Year students, the board confirmed that First Year students will also undergo practical and lab examinations. Furthermore, the intermediate syllabus will see major revisions for the first time in 12 years, impacting subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.

Practical Exam Schedule: Practical examinations will begin in the last week of January and conclude by the first week of February, ahead of the theory exams. The move aims to ensure that students have sufficient preparation time for both practical and theoretical components.
These updates reflect the board’s efforts to modernize the intermediate curriculum and assessment system, providing students with a balanced focus on theory and practical skills.
