Heavy Rain Forecast for Andhra Pradesh; Telangana to See Moderate Showers

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rainfall across Andhra Pradesh today due to the influence of northeast monsoon conditions. Coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema, and Yanam are expected to receive moderate to heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over the next five days. Certain areas in the state may also experience winds reaching speeds of up to 14 km/h. Heavy rainfall is specifically forecasted in Tirupati, Prakasam, Nellore, Kadapa, Satyasai, Annamayya, and Chittoor districts, while moderate showers are expected in NTR, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, and Anantapur districts.

In Telangana, moderate to heavy rains are predicted across multiple districts, including Hanamkonda, Warangal, Jangaon, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubabad, Rangareddy, Wanaparthy, and Hyderabad.

Given the forecast, authorities have issued yellow alerts for several districts in Telangana, advising residents to remain cautious and take necessary precautions. The Meteorological Department has urged the public to stay updated on weather advisories and follow safety measures during periods of heavy rain and strong winds.
