Former Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari has officially announced that he will retire from active politics and will not contest in the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized that this marks his final election, a declaration he had previously made before the last polls. Srihari also indirectly referenced former MLA Tatikonda Rajayya, stating that he would refrain from personal attacks or engaging in trivial political disputes. He stressed his commitment to integrity and disciplined conduct, asserting that he avoids mischief, alcohol, and wastage, and remains focused on public service.
Highlighting his contributions to constituency development, Srihari noted that he switched parties to better serve his constituency and has spent the past 21 months with the Congress Party. During this period, he secured Rs 1,026 crore in development funds, detailing the projects publicly and taking full responsibility for their accuracy. He clarified that these allocations cover the period from January 2024 onwards.
Looking ahead, Srihari promised that with the Congress government projected to remain in power for the next three years, an additional Rs 2,000 crore in development funds would be brought to Station Ghanpur. He pledged to transform the constituency from one with a negative image to a model of progress and development. His announcement has generated significant attention across the state’s political landscape.
