American billionaire Bryan Johnson, 48, has undertaken a new experiment in his pursuit to stay young. He revealed on social media that he has conducted an experiment aimed at always appearing youthful and defying death. He announced that, in order to prevent aging and remain healthy at all times, he has created a “clone” of himself in the form he had as an infant.

As part of this novel experiment, he stated that he has created a clone named “Baby Bryan,” modeled on his state as a newborn. Johnson revealed that this clone is currently growing in a laboratory “petri dish.” While cloning as a method has generally been the subject of numerous controversies in both the field of technology and medical practice, Johnson has expressed his support for it. He acknowledged that some may find the experiment somewhat unsettling, but he fully disclosed the process behind how the Baby Bryan clone was created.

In this cloning process, blood is first drawn from his body. The key cells within it are then separated. These cells are subsequently reprogrammed and reverted back to a primary state resembling that of an embryo in the mother’s womb. Johnson explained that, through this cloning method, he could in future transplant young cells needed by his body. Additionally, he could grow his own organs when required and use them for organ transplants. He stated that newly developed experimental medical treatments could be tested on this clone and the results analyzed, rather than testing them directly on himself.

There is a specific reason behind Bryan Johnson’s decision to take this step. He recently developed a rare condition called Autoimmune Gastritis (AIG). This condition damages the immune system, causing it to attack and damage the sensitive lining of the stomach. There is currently no medication available for this condition. It was in this context, he said, that he chose to pursue the path of cloning.

Johnson stated that this technology is already in the clinical trial stage for restoring dopamine neurons in cases of severe neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. He said that falling ill has, in a way, worked in his favor, as it led him to a path that allows him to renew his body while also finding a way to hold back the effects of aging.
