Eatala Rajender, Malkajgiri MP and senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly denied speculation about his possible exit from the party, calling the reports “baseless and misleading.” He clarified that he is not someone who changes words or parties for convenience and emphasised that switching parties is a major life decision, not something as casual as changing clothes. Eatala said he was expelled from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and was later welcomed by the BJP, warning that repeated doubts over his loyalty amount to character assassination.
Expressing displeasure over being sidelined during the recent visit of Union Minister Rajnath Singh to Telangana, Eatala criticised BJP leaders for initially denying entry passes to a close associate— a Secunderabad Cantonment Board member— to attend the event at Parade Ground. He questioned the party leadership on why such humiliation was necessary when welcoming a central minister. Reports later suggested BJP leaders convinced Etela and issued the passes after he walked out in protest.

Speaking at a statue unveiling of Subhas Chandra Bose in Kapra, Uppal, Eatala asserted that any position is meaningless if self-respect is lost, recalling how he once gave up his MLA post during the Telangana Movement. Amid speculation over his dissatisfaction at not being appointed BJP state president and his differences with Bandi Sanjay Kumar, his comments have sparked debate in political circles. Etela has since reiterated through a social media post that he has no plans to leave the BJP, while his supporters alleged that a section within the party is conspiring against him and spreading false propaganda.
