In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Indian Army has thwarted a major terror plot planned under the code name “Operation Ghazi.” Terrorists were reportedly preparing for coordinated attacks across multiple locations in Jammu & Kashmir.
Acting on intelligence inputs, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) conducted simultaneous searches at ten locations, including Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, and Srinagar. Notably, six locations were raided in Ganderbal alone, followed by two in Budgam, and one each in Pulwama and Srinagar.
Security forces had been tracking the movements of terrorist commander Abdul Ghazi, who is accused of attempting to radicalize local youth and involve them in large-scale terror activities. Intelligence sources also confirmed that Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar is currently operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
