Hyderabad: Prominent political leaders have raised suspicions over the death of Pastor Praveen, alleging foul play and demanding a thorough investigation. Former MP Harsha Kumar and Praja Shanti Party president K.A. Paul have both claimed that Pastor Praveen was murdered, directly contradicting the findings of the official postmortem report released by the Andhra Pradesh police.
In a letter dated April 16 to Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Harsha Kumar asserted that Pastor Praveen’s death was not accidental. According to sources, Sonia Gandhi acknowledged the letter and expressed gratitude for bringing the matter to her attention, stating that the concerns raised were being reviewed.
Meanwhile, K.A. Paul made serious allegations in a televised interview, asserting that Praveen’s death was staged to appear as an accident. He claimed to possess evidence suggesting a deliberate murder and called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident. Paul has also filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking judicial intervention.
Paul further questioned the lack of clear CCTV footage capturing Praveen in the area where the incident reportedly occurred. He alleged that the pastor was murdered in Hyderabad and the scene was manipulated to resemble a road mishap.
The developments have sparked widespread debate, with political circles and the public closely monitoring the issue. Calls for a CBI investigation have intensified amid growing concerns about transparency and justice in the case.
