Vijayawada: In a significant development in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam investigation, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued a notice to former Member of Parliament Vijayasai Reddy. He has been asked to appear for questioning on April 18 at the Commissioner’s Office in Vijayawada, where SIT officials are expected to record his statement.
Simultaneously, the SIT has escalated efforts to trace and investigate Raj Kasireddy, who is believed to be a key accused in the case. Despite receiving three separate summons, Kasireddy has reportedly failed to cooperate with the investigation. Authorities suspect he may have absconded in a planned manner, possibly with the assistance of his in-laws, nearly five days ago.

As part of the ongoing probe, the SIT has turned its attention to Kasireddy’s financial transactions. Investigators are examining his investment patterns, financial dealings with various individuals and entities, and payments made to different organizations. Reports indicate that SIT officials have already conducted searches at 15 companies linked to Kasireddy and have seized several critical documents during the operation.
The investigation continues to widen as officials pursue leads related to the financial networks involved in the scam.
