BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has announced plans to undertake a padayatra (foot march) next year as part of efforts to revive the party and bring it back to power. Speaking to the media after a meeting with party workers in Suryapet, he stated that preparations for the initiative are currently underway.
Party Strengthening Initiatives
KTR emphasized that strengthening the party at all levels will remain the key focus for the remainder of the year. He revealed that district tours have already begun and urged party workers from across Telangana to attend the BRS public meeting in Warangal on April 27. He further announced that the party’s membership drive will commence in May, with efforts to establish robust committees from the booth level to the state level.

He also assured that loyal party workers who stood by BRS during challenging times will be given priority in leadership opportunities, stressing that there is no distinction between senior and junior leaders within the party.
Criticism of Congress Government
KTR criticized the Congress-led Telangana government, stating that it is relying on last-minute welfare schemes in an attempt to secure re-election. He urged BRS workers to actively engage with the public to highlight the party’s perspective.
Asserting that BRS must regain momentum, KTR called on party workers to play a key role in the party’s resurgence, akin to KCR’s leadership style. He declared that April 27 will mark the first step in BRS’s comeback strategy, describing 2024 as a year of political struggle for the party.
