Former YSRCP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been arrested in connection with the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office. Vamsi, A 71, was apprehended by Andhra Pradesh police while traveling from Hyderabad to Gannavaram.
The Gannavaram TDP office was attacked during the YSRCP government’s tenure, with police alleging that followers of Vallabhaneni Vamsi were responsible for the incident. To date, 18 individuals have been arrested in the case. There are allegations that the attack on the TDP office was orchestrated at Vamsi’s behest.
Among those arrested are Vamsi’s key followers, including Mulpuri Prabhukanth, Nagesh, Dokku Venkannababu, Nagaraju, driver Durga Rao, Karimulla, Rebbani, and eight others. The 15 accused have been transferred to Nuziveedu sub-jail.
