YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has taken disciplinary action against MLC Duvvada Srinivas, suspending him from the party. The decision comes after several complaints of party discipline violations. In a press release issued today, the party confirmed the suspension, citing Srinivas’s failure to adhere to party directives.
Failure to Comply with Party Leadership Leads to Suspension
Sources indicate that Srinivas’s suspension resulted from his refusal to follow party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s instructions. In a recent meeting with Jagan, the latter directed Srinivas to support Tekali YSRCP in-charge Parada Tilak. However, Srinivas declined to comply, prompting Jagan to order his suspension. The party’s central committee swiftly enacted the decision.

This development has raised questions among party workers, as Srinivas had previously referred to Jagan as his “god.” With the suspension now in effect, there are concerns within the party that it may affect the YSRCP’s position in the Tekali constituency. Additionally, there are speculations that internal family conflicts played a role in this outcome, with some suggesting the involvement of Vani (possibly a party leader) in orchestrating the suspension.
