The Andhra Pradesh Assembly session officially began today with Governor Abdul Nazeer addressing both houses of the legislature. During his address, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLAs staged a walkout in protest. The MLAs, who arrived at the Assembly wearing black scarves, voiced their dissent over the Governor’s speech.

Following the Governor’s address, the Legislative Affairs Advisory Committee (BAC) will meet under the chairmanship of the Speaker to discuss the session’s schedule. Preliminary information indicates that the Assembly session is expected to last five days, concluding on the 26th of this month.

The state government will present a budget covering three months and introduce three white papers during the session. Additionally, a TDP Legislature Party (TDLP) meeting is slated for 2:30 p.m.
