YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the coalition government, questioning the unfulfilled promises made during the election campaign. Reddy accused the government of filing false cases against YSRCP workers and imprisoning them, alleging that Naidu is engaging in revenge politics. He further claimed that his party had implemented the promises made during its tenure, while the current coalition government has failed to do so.
In a series of tweets, Jagan raised six key questions, demanding explanations from CM Naidu regarding the state of education and other promises:
Jagan’s Six Questions to CM Chandrababu Naidu:
1. Fee Reimbursement Delays: Jagan questioned the government’s delay in paying fee reimbursements for the last three quarters, leading to many students being forced to drop out. He highlighted the situation in Ongole’s JPangulur, where students are unable to pay fees and are compelled to take up jobs.
2. Education Sector Decline: Jagan criticized the reversal of key educational reforms, including the cancellation of programs like Amma Odi, English medium, and the introduction of tablets for 8th-grade students. He accused the government of damaging students’ education and families’ well-being.

3. Financial Commitment to Education: He reminded the public of the YSRCP government’s commitment to education, citing the RS 12,609 crores spent on educational welfare schemes by December last year, and a total of ₹18,000 crores spent during its tenure.
4. Election Code and Fee Delays: Jagan pointed out that the coalition parties had filed complaints with the Election Commission, causing delays in fee reimbursements. He stated that even after the elections, no payments had been made, further worsening the situation for students.
5. Withholding Certificates and Restrictions on College Admissions: Jagan alleged that students who have not paid fees are being barred from attending college and are denied certificates even after completing their education. He noted that this has affected over 11 lakh students, forcing parents into financial distress.
6. Scams and Neglect of Education: Jagan accused the government of engaging in multiple scams, including in sand, liquor, and gambling sectors, while neglecting the education sector. He called for the immediate release of Amma Odi, fee reimbursements, and hostel fees.
Jagan’s questions reflect growing concerns over the current government’s handling of the education sector and its failure to deliver on key electoral promises.
