YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has filed a petition in the CBI court requesting permission to travel abroad. The petition seeks approval for his visit to the United Kingdom from January 11 to January 25, 2025, with his family.

The CBI court, after considering the petition, instructed the CBI officials to file a counter response. Further proceedings will take place following the submission of the counter by the CBI. Jagan, who is an accused in a disproportionate assets case, must seek court approval before leaving the country, as per the bail conditions imposed on him.

This is not the first instance of Jagan seeking court permission for international travel. After the 2019 general elections, he traveled abroad with his family, visiting the UK, Switzerland, and France between May 17 and June 1. He now seeks to make another trip to the UK.
