Rangareddy District, Andhra Pradesh — Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has announced that the Young India Skill University, currently under construction in Mucchirala, will begin offering several courses starting from the Dussehra festival. The university is set to launch nearly 20 courses, with six scheduled to commence from Dussehra.

On Saturday, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari held a high-level review meeting with officials. She highlighted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had laid the foundation stone for the Skill University on a 57-acre site in Mucchirala. In the interim, until the completion of the construction, the university will operate from a temporary facility. Anand Mahindra, a prominent industrialist, has been appointed as Chairman, and Srinivas C. Raj has been appointed as Co-Chairman.

The university has attracted interest from approximately 140 companies eager to partner with it. Plans include launching about 20 courses, with initial offerings in the School of E-commerce, Logistics, and Retail, featuring certificate and diploma programs. Major corporate entities such as SBI, NAC, Dr. Reddy’s, TVAGA, ADAANI, and CII have expressed interest in collaborating for training initiatives.

Shanti Kumari also directed officials to expedite the development of the university’s logo and website. She emphasized the need to prioritize job placements with competitive salaries for students completing the courses.
