Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha has made sensational allegations, claiming that a conspiracy was hatched to oust her from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Speaking at the launch of the “Jagruthi Janam Bata” programme in Nizamabad on Saturday, she said that despite working for the party and its leader K. Chandrashekar Rao for over two decades, she was sidelined through internal machinations.
Kavitha stated that there was a conspiracy behind her defeat in Nizamabad and urged BRS workers to reflect on it. “Some within the party revealed internal matters and conspired to send me out. Now, I am looking for my own path,” she said. She recalled joining the Telangana movement at the age of 27 and emphasized that she had never acted against the BRS. “No matter how many humiliations I faced, I endured them. Today, I have come seeking your blessings, and I wanted my first step to begin on our soil,” she added.
Highlighting the unfulfilled promises made to the families of Telangana martyrs, Kavitha said that despite achieving significant progress over the past decade, justice and due respect were still denied to those families. As part of the “Janam Bata” initiative, she said she would engage with students, intellectuals, and people from various walks of life to ensure inclusive participation. She concluded by calling for development that upholds the self-respect of every individual in the state.
