BJP leader Vijayashanti expressed skepticism regarding Chandrababu’s assertion that the TDP would regain strength in Telangana. She emphasized that the Telugu Desam Party’s prospects in Telangana remain uncertain. “If the Telugu Desam Party, in conjunction with its ally BJP, attempts to bolster its presence in Telangana, both parties risk sinking here,” Vijayashanti cautioned. “A resurgence of the TDP could potentially reignite resistance from Telangana activists.”
Vijayashanti criticized Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu for focusing predominantly on the interests of the Telugu Desam Party during his recent visit to Hyderabad. “While it was expected that Chandrababu Naidu would address issues concerning both Telugu states and prioritize the welfare of the people, his emphasis on the party’s interests raises doubts about his true agenda,” she remarked. Vijayashanti cited Chandrababu’s remarks about expanding the Telugu Desam Party’s footprint in Telangana as evidence of this agenda.
