Former Minister Vidadala Rajini has been appointed as the Coordinator for Chilakaluripet in Palnadu district by YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy. Rajini, who previously served as the MLA for Chilakaluripet and the Coordinator for Guntur West before the elections, lost in the recent Assembly polls while contesting from Guntur West. Following this defeat, there were widespread speculations about her joining Jana Sena.
Rajini made her political debut in the 2019 elections, securing a victory with an 8,000-vote majority, and later served as a Minister. Following YSRCP’s poor performance in the 2024 elections, there has been talk of several members, including Rajini, potentially jumping to TDP or Jana Sena. Recently, political discussions in Andhra Pradesh suggested that Rajini might follow this trend.
Sources indicate that Rajini, with the assistance of Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, is exploring the option of joining Jana Sena, and she is reportedly seeking a meeting with party chief Pawan Kalyan. Balineni is said to have recently met with Rajini to discuss this move. However, Rajini’s supporters have denied these rumors, maintaining that she has no intentions of switching parties. With her recent appointment to a significant role within YSRCP, it remains to be seen whether the ongoing speculation regarding her political future will continue.
